I am proud to announce next NomadMage session where I will talk about Building Secure Payment Integrations in Magento 2, February 21, 2017, at 20:00 CST.
Nomad Mage® is a virtual user group for Magento developers who understand that they need to keep learning to grow professionally. We meet online monthly to hear some of the best speakers in the community share what they’ve learned.
What is this all about?
Over the last 2 years, I am building various payment integrations for Magento 2. It includes different types of connection between Payment module in Magento 2 and Payment Service Provider. For example, the majority of Payment Service Providers support iFrames where payment form is rendered as a separate page and included into a Checkout process. In this way, customers won’t notice the difference between built-in payment form and external payment form rendered in an iframe on a page. It increases website conversion rate and user experience. Merchants will no longer worry about PCI DSS compliance since there are no sensitive data processed by a Merchant’s server.
From another hand, some Payment Service Providers give an opportunity to use own implementation of payment form. Together with Address Verification System (AVS) checks, 3D Secure and Fraud checks allow getting best payments experience for our customers. It may be helpful for those Merchants who want to have nice and friendly Payment forms and do not want their customers to be redirected to a 3rd party Hosted Payment Page.
Magento 2 has powerful Payment Gateway API with almost all features and capabilities to create custom payment integration. It includes interfaces, classes, and configurations expected to be used by extension developers when building integration with Payment Service Providers such as Realex Payments, PayPal, Authorize.Net, Braintree, Elavon, Converge, Worldline etc.
At Nomad Mage® I am planning to go through an updated Payment Gateway API and show step by step instructions on how you can get maximum of this library when you are about to start building a payment module for Magento 2. This will include building your first Capture request, processing a successful response from the payment server, creating payment forms as a standalone and as a hosted payment page. Also, I am going to talk about Magento Vault module which allows using tokenization when storing Credit Cards information for Customers. The information will give you exact action items for your future payment integration in Magento 2.
The session is going to be 60-90 minutes and you will get a chance to ask questions related to your show stoppers or anything about payment integrations. I will be more than happy to answer.
